Polyols from Biomass

The purpose of the polyols from biomass LIBPF process model is to simulate the process for the conversion of biomass feedstocks to polyols of short-chain carbohydrates.

The process scheme is based on IPCI process type 3:

The demo requirements are:

  • operating system: Window 2000, XP, Vista or W7
  • Administrator access to the computer during installation
  • [optional] Excel 2003 or later for displaying the mass and energy balance table
  • [optional] OpenOffice 3.0 or later for displaying the mass and energy balance table
