Demos

Screencasts and downloadable demos of applications based on LIBPF

In this section you can download one of the following four LIBPF demos, all based on version 0.8 (09/2008):

Salt and Pepper: a simple, fictitous process;
MCFC (Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell) System: clean energy production from gassified biomass waste;
Polyols from Biomass: conversion to polyols of short-chain carbohydrates from biomass feedstocks;
Waste-to-energy: an innovative process for the gasification of civil / industrial wastewater treatment dried waste sludge.

If you just want to see how it works without installing any software, have a look at the LIBPF 0.8 screencast, a Flash video showing how the LIBPF demos are installed and run (you will need to install the Adobe Flash player to watch it).

Requirements

The main supported operating systems are: Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista.

The demos can be installed and run only by a Windows user with administrative rights on the machine.

Furthermore you need:

Microsoft Access 2000 or later;
A spreadsheet application such as Excel 2000 or later or alternatively a productivity suite supporting the ODF 1.0 (Open Document Format for Office Applications): OpenOffice, StarOffice by Sun Microsystems or IBM Lotus Symphony.
